Ok I found the appID file and copied it over the the same directory that has that Aurora application. Still no joy on getting the game to launch but I have this awesome new bash log for you.

Seems like something is wrong with your JRE that is shipped with the game.
If you have Java installed on your PC you may try using it instead of a bundled one. In this case you will need to edit startup sh script in the bin directory of your game installation. In the beginning it sets JAVA_HOME to ../jre. Set it to your java location.

Yes, the file is there and opens well.
This solution works for me.
After I changed the value of JAVA_HOME variable (the beginning of "AuroraRL/bin/Aurora" file) to the path of my local JRE, the game starts normally.
