Are you reading anything? You were captured as someone with source in their system,--since having source is now a terrible thing in this world b/c of voidwalkers--they put a collar on you to block your powers, and they shipped you off to fort joy to rot? be protected? who knows?
On the way there your ship got attacked by voidwalkers and sunk, but you were lucky enough to drift to shore. Your job then is to figure out how to remove the collar and escape the island; a pretty difficult task. This premise is way more interesting to me than a simple murder investigation.
Escape is a goal so vague, that i esacped by pressing Alt+F4
Regain your freedom? Find a way back home? Join the other source beings and revolt?
The game is in EA ffs, you can't expect to have the entire plot and goals laid out for you in the beginning.
DOS: 1 was just as vague. Solve the murder mystery and then what? Go back home b/c your taks is complete? It took twist and turns after you solved the mystery, not before. Likewise in this game you're expected to find a way to escape and then figure out what to do afterwards.
God you're such a troll.
As far as the boring piece goes, the 1st one didn't exactly just take off with a bullet, so if OP has any familiarity with it he'd know this.
Are you one of those faschist Americans who think the world belongs to them?
He has 0.7 hours logged into the game lol. Yeah I should've known better.... Bleh.
There is something very wrong with this game, this is not normal for me to get bored with rpg so fast.
