Error when starting Metro 2033, please assist

When booting metro2003.exe i receive an error:

The progrm can't start because PhysXloader.dll is missing from your computer. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this issue.

Now i have confirmed that this file is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common

Does anybody know if I need to move/copy this file to the Metro folder? Any help is appreciated.

Did you recently move your Steam folder to a different drive? Have you recently reinstalled Windows?

If no, you can try two things. First, verify the integrity of the Steam cache.

Second, go to:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Metro 2033\install\"

And double click the "Physx_10.02.22 blah blah blah.exe" file then let it run.

If YES to the either of the initial two questions and if the above fixes don't work for you, then you will probably have to reinstall Steam and then reinstall the game as the game flat out won't want to work unless you've done that.

Yeah, turns out there was security update for windows. After I installled it and rebooted it worked fine....♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wierd.
