On the higher difficulties,it takes less and less to kill

The higer difficulties (like Dr. Bliztkrieg said) will make the game feel more realistic. Sort of like in Metro 2033 where Ranger Easy made you deadlier but also weaker. So you felt like stealth was neccessary, but combat could be done. But, on the easier difficulties (where it actually takes about 9-15 rounds to kill a human) it is also WAY easier to find ammunition.

Started a ranger hardcore game tonight. Wow. It's still hard, though rewarding of fast reflexes. Considering that I've played on normal before I'm surprised at just how tense I've been in hardcore. You really feel like a glass cannon, with no retical.
