Best Mod Now?

I played and beat CoP a year or two ago, and can hardly remember the game. I've beat SoC recently for the 2nd time, just for a refresher. I'm going to play this and try to 100% it this time around while wating for Clear Sky's Road To Limansk release.

I played CoP with CoP Complete, which makes the game really easy, at least that's how it was for me. This time around i've got my eyes set on Misery, seeing as it's the most popular mod at this point in time. Is there something else I should use? Or just go with Misery and be set.

I Work Alone was a fun mod. I usually bounce back and forth between that and plaing vanilla with Atmosphere 3. The regular vanilla game is just too easy and Misery was annoying. It was difficult sure, but manageable. It was just tedious trying to learn the, literally, 8 bazillion different items in the game. I just wanted to play the damn game, not read mounds of text about different medicine.

Alrighty, good to know. I'm using AtmosFear 3 and a Weapon Retexture pack, going very well so far. Any idea if there's a mod that re-textures the various factions? Freedom, Duty, etc..

you gota try misery its hard but once you learn not to run and gun its super rewarding and fun m8 :) true stalker simulator

im currently playing this with the complete mod and i cannot believe how great this game is.. i did try the misery mod but im gunna be honest i found it abit frustrating.. the mod is fantastic though.. just my skills lack.. i suggest trying misery.. plus the installer for it is easy as pie

I`m another Atmosfear3 advocate.
Completed the game six times so far & just about to start again, Atmosfear3 is always my first choice :D

I also adjusted the settings on Atmosphere 3 to have MORE blowouts and Psy-storms. I think one of the two happens every four hours in-game...which is what, 45 real time minutes...??? keeps me on my toes for one, but also, as enjoyable as the game is, it's too short. Kind of prolongs the experience....and gives me more artifacts to hunt :)

Another mod I used in the past was to overhaul guns. I think it was "Original Weapons Overhaul" but was ages ago.

Was well worth grabbing & works with Atmosfear3.

Thanks for the answers guys. I do have one more question though, is it possible to make the difficulty of Misery like the Vanilla game and keep all the graphic changes and item additions and such to the game?

I don't believe so. It would be totally missing the point aswell. I don't believe Misery is compatible with anything else either.
