Stalemate achievement

Is there any good strategy for it?

Its been a while, but basically keep sending seedlings at an asteroid. Dont send enough to win it, but dont send so little that they always get wiped out. I think I got it on a map where I was divided in multiple directions, and I was trying to just hold off one color on one planet while trying to fight in two other directions, and it was rather a surprise when I got the achievement.

On a map with 5 trees per asteroid, playing on Clasic Mode and Dark Matter Mode (don't think this is essential) - let the enemy have 2 asteroids with 5 dyson trees each and send there 4 mines per asteroid for the 500 enemy losses. Then just sacrifice your weakest seedlings to another asteroid of the same enemy (but never conquer it) until you count 500 losses of your own. 15 minutes later you will finally achieve it...

It's impossible to get this. I tried it again and again, even with my own maps. But the fact that you can't foresee the enemy's behavior, ruins it for me.

OK, I cleared Dark Mattter mode tonight but didn't get the achievement, so I thought about it for awhile, made a plan, and it worked on the first attempt.

1. Use Normal mode, level 25.

2. Conquer all asteroids except for the large two that are controlled by the grays, as I did here:

Let's call the gray asteroids A and B.

3. Once you're set up like this, move as many seedlings as you can to two asteroids within striking range of each gray asteroids (in other words, stack up seedlings on four total). I had about 700-800 stacked among my four.

Let's call the four asteroids 1, 2, 3, and 4, with 1 and 2 being closest to A and 3 and 4 being closest to B.

4. Now start double-right-clicking each of your asteroids in turn to activate two seedlings and launch them at the nearest gray. Just follow a pattern, always sending 2-3 at a time. So it looks like this

send a pair from 2 to A
send a pair from 3 to B
send a pair from 4 to B
send a pair from 3 to B
send a pair from 2 to A
send a pair from 1 to A
send a pair from 2 to A
send a pair from 3 to B
send a pair from 4 to B
send a pair from 3 to B
send a pair from 2 to A

.....and just keep repeating the pattern. Sometimes I would spam-right-click for a second to send 4-5 at a time, but always few enough that they would get killed as soon as they orbited the gray. Make sure to keep up your rhythm so that there is a constant flow of seedling pairs toward each gray asteroid. The achievement says 15 minutes, but my clock said I'd done it for closer to 20 before the achievement dinged. When I started I had about 80 grays in play, but I don't think it matters how many there are as long as 500 die in the end.

Pretty straightforward, but takes patience and decent rythym. Please up this post if it works for you. Good luck!
