After it's installed select the Xbox 360 controller emulator option under the Profiles tab.
One word of caution, I don't have the BT setup yet, the controller is connected via USB. There are options for BT but I can't confirm it works correctly.
I like the feel of the 360 gamepad and its analog sticks, but I like the placement of the analog sticks, dpad and other buttons better on the PS3 gamepad. The bluetooth is nice, since my computer has bluetooth; I don't need Microsoft's wireless dongle to get it working wirelessly. Plus you have the motion sensing, though there isn't much on PC games that would utilize it.
Motioninjoy's site gives you a pretty solid walkthrough for getting drivers set up as well: http://www.motioninjoy.com/download
I use my PS3 controller for everything from Super Meat Boy, Limbo, and Spiral Knights to Psychonauts, Half Life/Portal, and Skyrim.
this is what i use, works flawlessly. use it with MANY other games too, not just this.
Yeah, but does that map the keys as well? cos thats the issue i have. found a way to use the Enjoy program, but that's quite a hassle to set up.
for SMB with PS3 controller on a mac go to:
/Users/{YOUR_USERNAME}/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/super\ meat\ boy/SuperMeatBoy.app/Contents/MacOS/buttonmap.cfg
open the file with text editor and change the buttons under gamepad to:
jump="10";
special="9";
now R1 is jump & L1 is special, which is a little odd, as according to gamepad companion button 10 should be R2 and 9 should be L2. But it works, so what the hell...
The problem is that this only works for the first level you play. Meaning as soon as you beat a level, only R1 works as it should. Any ideas why this might be?
