Anyone familiar with recording - please help?

Basically, I've just recorded a speedrun, and I really need some help - the Fraps file plays fine on Media Player etc. but it's like it's corrupted, no matter how I try to convert it the converted video doesn't play. The run on the video is one I'm extremely pleased with, any suggestions? Anyone, really need to fix this; I need to save this one ;_; many thanks in advance
