random fps drops

after playing many hard platformers (with meat boy beeing my first) i thought of revisiting it

after failing some really easy levels i got suspicious

so i downloaded fraps and i get random fps drops(60->30) ALL OVER THE PLACE

they drop at some points in the level and rise back to usual at another

in some they do in some they dont

has something changed in the last few years? i know i havent had this drops the first time i played it when it came out

if theres a solution id appreciate i id really love to complete this game after all these years

I'm not quite sure what's going on either. I can sense it. I thought maybe it's because my computer is getting warm, but other games just don't drop in FPS. What kind of video card do you have?

nvidia geforce gt 750m
and for me its only in meat boy too
never registered it anywhere else
