Stuck in a box

Hey, just wanted to let you know that at 35% I got stuck in a box, and couldn't escape. Love the soundtrack but sucks that I now have to restart.

You can jump off / between walls. That's the trick there.

No, this happened to me too, at only 21%. There was a button in a pit between four high talls. The trick, as the previous commenters unhelpfully partially explain, is that you have to jump to one wall, then hit jump on hit to get an extra boost that gets you over the adjacent wall.

Yes, there are those of us who have not played platformers. I expected a plain jump. Didn't know you could daisy-chain jumps. Thanks!

I think it deliberately puts you in there to make sure you work out this mechanic, as it is essential to know you can do this at later points in the game where it isn't so clear this is what to do so people might get stuck for ages trying other things.

There is zero indication of wall jumping mechanics leading up to this point, it's a pretty damn clumsy way to introduce them. The tone goes from pure joy to "♥♥♥♥, it's broken" in a single moment.

I was hoping there wouldn't be any wall jumping, honestly. That never feels good in first person, and pretty rarely in third person. It's very much a native 2d game mechanic.

It's a platformer and there are a lot of walls, though. Most of what you'll stare at for a majority of the game.
