[concept] portal 3: Let's kill GlaDOS
Yes, I know this isn't the right place for this. but I can't find a better place

Here's what I think Valve can do for portal 3:

Make it a MMORPG.

Instead of being tied to a specific character like Chell, Atlas, or P-Body, you get to pick from the vast repository of test subjects in stasis (or to be precise: you get to design your own). You can team up with up to maybe ten or so people in order to solve puzzles and stuff.

But one person plays the role of the evil A.I. (probably get to pick a skin and use a voice modulator). his or her job is to get the group to complete the tests, but kill them when they leave the testing rooms. the A.I. person would have all sorts of bot and traps at his (or her) disposal, and can monitor all going ons (to an extent: ideally limited to using the cameras and rough proximity sensors once they leave the course) and the A.I. person would have some control over the layout of the map (enough to make it unpredictable, but not enough to make it impossible)

This could also possibly translate well to an offline multiplayer for the Wii U, since the gamepad can be used as a screen only visible to the A.I.

Thoughts?

Seriously not... Very bad Idea... Portal 3 should be a Singleplayer fixed game like 1 and 2.. With a CooP like on 2
I don't like the idea either.
A single player fixed game would definately be part of the game, with a co-op being a bigger part, too.

Let's talk about the co-op part first:
You would have five test subjects in a test, each with a different ability:

One creates standard portals, with predictanble results

One creates portals of different size, which changes the size of whoever goes though the portsl (if you enter the big portal you come out smaller, and if you enter the normal-sized portal you come out bigger)

One changes the density of the person that goes through. You can become lighter and jump higher (with the offset of having no carry capacity), or you can become havier and lift heavy objects (with the offset being unable to jump)

One is "telepathic" in which case he/she cannot make portals, but can instead hack into or manipulate technology such as doors or switches

One can spray gels onto surfaces or objects, providing he/she has a supply.

And then you can have someone playing the overwatch. if you don't have an overwatch then you would be playing standard scripted levels together. otherwise:
The overwatch can arrange the level before the tests starts (most likely just the arrangement of traps and stuff), but he has limited resources so he has to try to anticipate the paths everyone takes. then once the test starts he's limited to viewing though the cameras only and have a proximity sensor system that shows where the test subjects are somewhat located, and the state of doors and switches, but not their actions.

Singleplayer mode should have these same abilities put into one person, with the limit of the person being able to use only ONE (maybe two) abilities at one time. I don't know if the character would always have all abilities and switch between them with keystrokes, or if he or she has to physically walk over to where an object with that ability is located.
I think that I'll stick to the thread title, and kill GLaDOS sounds neat :P

Please, don't make a Portal MMO!
Portal MMO? <puke>Everywhere</puke>
Why not? Valve seems to be pretty good at them.

read my thread much better plot idea
Which thread is that? And I never said anything about plot, did I? I never touch on the story, just gameplay.
I don't now
A portal MMORPG. What.

Good idea, but not for Portal. Maybe you should try to make it by yourself, but Portal is not thing like that.
How about just a plain online multiplayer? That's actually what I meat but i got the terminology mixed up.
This is stupid.
