Fast Weapon Switch?

Seriously. The inability to actually switch weapons at a flick of the mouse wheel ruins the game. I can't play it because this one missing feature annoys me so much. If anyone could tell me how to fix this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks, but all that does it set the weapons to change instantly when their respective numeric buttons are pressed. What I'm looking to do is have the weapons change instantly when I flick the mouse wheel, rather than have to click the shoot button after flipping through the upper-left weapons menu.

thats not problem cuz i rarely scroll....

Go into options and map previous weapon and next weapon to mouse wheel up and down.
