Video Resolution Error

Hello,

When I launched Fallout for the first time (in normal mode, not the Classic) and went to the options to fit the game's resolution to my screen (1920x1080), it kept showing up an error that said:

"Error initializing video mode 1357x763"

The game never managed to launch ever since. Is there a way to fix this?

Maybe you should go to Fallout's directory? It's usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout", open up the f1_res.ini file with Notepad and set UAC_AWARE to 0… configure what you want to set up if you wish and then start Fallout again, to see if it worked.

Im really not good at these patches and files process things and stuff. Can't the patches just be installed directly to this game by the releaser so we get an update and have the patches?

U have a conflict with the patcher inside fallout installation folder. try one of them, updating your ini file.
