Since the update, all I am able to recruit are thieves with knife fighting.

Corroborated. I just tested your bug by putting 3 thieves on recruiting and cycling days. 10 Days cycled and all 8/8 new recruits are thieves with knife fighting.

Same here, been playing for several in-game weeks and only knife fighting.

Thanks for the quick reporting on these things, everyone. We rolled back the fix and have been working on new builds to address the next priority issues. Thanks for all your help in getting these things defined and helping us make K&T better!

Looked like an interesting game. Ratings dont make it a buy yet for me. Will wait till it improves some more

Any news on the next patch, if any? Steam reviews are basically saying "Not Yet". Looking forward to buying the game in its best final state. :)

Yes it's a bit rough for a "release" but it has some fun to have. :D So if you really really want it but unsure wait for a sale or buy it and hope with me for many update's and content extensions. xD
