You should also maybe mention how to switch API if the game is unable to launch.
Also I'm not singling you out ID Software but I kinda hate when companies state that Vulkan allows for improved performance (instead of improved "performance efficiency") as it can easily lead people to expect better FPS when that may not be the case. The problem? The improved efficiency can be used by some devs to maintain current performance levels while improving the visuals! So the performance does not improve, only the visuals do.
Also, fix the save files already.
EDIT: Oh, It says it's only an issue on Windows 7.. Does that mean it'll work okay on Windows 8.1?
i also have the newest drivers 368.69 GF 980TI
Edit:
fixed it! just had to validate my files.
I can confirm better fps with Vulcan. From 110 to 150-160 :)
I'm also running the 980Ti with 368.69 and it restarted fine after selecting Vulcan. Unfortunately, I've seen no improvement in performance. Same framerate as OpenGL.
Yes but it doesn't provide a fps benchmark over a certain time like fraps does.
