tech support issues
ok so i was having issues with doom and i got abused on here and told to go to tech support so 2 days later i come back with 2 seperate result telling me that im below minimal vram by 12mb what the hell? ontop of that despite my DXdiag showing i am over the minimal graphics spec they still tell me im below it

http://imgur.com/8bTB73k

i think they need a retraining

cause i know for a fact that an 8350 and 16gb ram is above the minal requirements and a gtx670 sits on minimal but they try to tell me otherwise, righty o bethesda clearly youre on drugs?

ok well maybe you can help me. i get fps issues at random times. like it could even be between switching levels "I am Vega" then that little amount of writing and the embers will get down to a consistant 2 fps and ill have to reboot the game.

other times ill be moving down a jump puzzle or something minor like that and ill lose frames in a similar fashion.

but then during the huge huge fights with stupid amounts of demons and even the final boss fight i was sitting on 45-55 fps no issues. but then fps issues during the credits

my specs are

amd am3 8350 4.0ghz (watercooled)
kingstonhyperX 16gb Ram
970OA motherboard
GTX670 OC (not over clocked)

this thread will probably be frozen soon

What settings are you running ?
WolfEisberg May 21, 2016 @ 6:56pm
It is concerning that your video card is showing less Ram than it should have. Could indicate there is something wrong with your video card, which could be the reason for your issues.

Also what settings are you playing at?

i am running it at the setting its default at, i dont change setting other than totally turn off mortion blur cause it doesnt look that great. but ill imgur the setting at pictures as to what the game has default for me and ill get some feed back if i may.

Well in advanced change the "Overall Quality" to Medium, might have to go to low. Change your motion blur to off since you stated you don't like that. Change your resolution to 1280x720. Your system basically meets minimum requirements, and the minimum requirements are for 1280x720 at 60 FPS, using a higher resolution like you are now is going to drop the performance.

The video card really makes the biggest difference, and you have the minimum requirement video card which is why you are basically meeting the minimum requirements. What is concerning is DXDiag should be showing 2048MB of dedicated ram, but it only shows 1988MB, which is 60MB less than what it should be, and may indicate there is something wrong with your graphics card. Something wrong with your graphics card can cause performance issues.

yup. unless you meet reccomended requirements (not min) you should be playing on reduced settings. if you're at min, lowest possible. just saw this thread and that's spot on, would like to add, you might enjoy playing at 1920x1080, but 50-70% res scale with some smoothing vs straight up 720p. the smoothing also reduces the need for anti-aliasing, which can give better performance if off/ smaa/fxaa only.

this way all menus are still 1080 res, but any 3d elements are downscaled in render res for performance
