Divinity:Original Sin Enhanced Edition - Offical FAQ
Hello everybody!

We will be adding questions and answers to this FAQ as we see them pop up.

1. Where is the MAC version?

The Mac/Steam/Linux versions of Divinity:Original Sin Enhanced Edition are coming in December 2015.

2. Where is the game editor?

There currently is no game editor for Divinity:Original Sin Enhanced Edition. If you own Divinity:Original Sin, you can make and play mods with the original version of Divinity:Original Sin. We are looking into releasing a new version of the editor that will allow you to make mods for Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition. Mods from Divinity:Original Sin will not be compatible because too many changes were made to the game.

3. Are savegames from Divinity:Original Sin compatible with Divinity.Original Sin - Enhanced Edition?

No. These are two different games and there are too many differences between the two games for that to be possible.

4. I received Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition for free because I own Divinity:Original Sin - the Collectors Edition. Do I get a new Collectors Edition?

Yes, you get the same content as the Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Collector's Edition.

5. I received Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition for free because I own Divinity:Original Sin. Can I rant at Larian about a change I don't like?

No you can't. We'll just ask you to play the original game :)

6. My system could run Divinity:Original Sin but can't run Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition.

The minimum specs for both games are different so it is possible that your systems specs do not match those of Divinity:Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

7. Are the contents of the Source Hunter DLC included in D:OS EE ?

You will automatically receive Zandalor's trunk and the Golden Grail in your inventory. Bairdotr and Wolgraff DLC are also included.

8. What is included in the Collector's Edition:
- 1 Collector's Edition for the buyer (this is the game + design documents + artwork + soundtrack)
- Normal Edition DOS: Enhanced Edition as a gift copy for a friend.

9. The game is not starting up or crashing on launch:

- Check if you meet the minimum specifications (win7+ and dx11 GPU)

- Check if you have the MS VS redist installed needed to run the game:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

- If you meet the minimum requirements and are still having startup issues, try extracting this file into ..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition

http://www.larian.com/graphicSettings.zip

this sets default resolution to 1280x720 in windowed mode. You can then experiment with resolutions in the game.

10. If you still have issues and need to contact support: try http://larian.com/support/
When contacting support, please include a report.zip from our support tool : http://www.larian.com/AnalysisTool.zip

Undoubtedly to be continued. Have fun everybody and be nice to each other in the comments!

Also curious if the original D:OS kickstarter tier perks (e.g. Pets) are available in the Enhanced Edition as well?

I hope that doesn't become an excuse for ignoring technical issues later down the line.

Is the bear and the burglar dlc included in the DoS EE?

Thank you for answering me.

The most important question: is the man with many cheeses still around and has he had his previous phrases removed/changed? :happy_creep:

What is the difference between EE Standard and EE Collectors?

This will be updated on the store page very soon.

Thank you for the game! People like the ones at, Larian, deserve every penny they get! :steamhappy:

Why doesn't EE come with the original version too? As someone who backed the DOS2+DOS tier on Kickstarter, I'm a bit frustrated that I had to wait a month just to get a key for a game I still won't be able to play for a couple months because my Windows machine died.

Your answer about mod support and different system requirements are honestly a bit patronizing all things considered. "You can make and play mods with the original version of Divinity:Original Sin" doesn't help me when that means rebuying the entire game.

If I knew what I was paying for was the ability to wait 3 months just to be able to play a game that I could have bought and been playing (at least a version of it; a version -with- mod support) months ago, I'd probably not have backed the DOS2 KS in the first place.
