Pre-order for Aussie players?!

Couple of things:
$59 vs. $41ish ($30 to AUD)
BUT we get a boxed copy, pre order is secured early, maybe a manual (please not just a card like the PS3 version) or poster, and not having to download the game.
But, potential Steam pre-order bonuses might be missed out on.

It also lists the release date as 30/01/2016 or 01/30/2016 for you backwards folks in the US.

wbacon, if you're reading this, could you maybe tell us if the boxed version of the game provides any posters or a hefty manual or map? And if we pre-order this boxed version, will we get the Steam pre-order bonuses as well?

The game will unlock/release on the same day all at once. In other words, Valve flips the switch and everyone starts the game at same time.

We'll announce the finalized launch date/hour when the Steam pre-purchase offer goes live. That should happen sometime between mid-December but before Christmas. Stay tuned!

16, 17, 18 = wed, thurs fri = possible because they are work days
19, 20 = weekend, not possible
21,22,23 = non holiday, days and weekdays
so it boils down to

16,17,18,21,22,23 of december will be the day. one of them anyways.
