PSA: How to effectively autocast and use pulsars
So i see a lot of people complaining about you need to stop your ship so that your ship will fire pulsars or that the ships miss too much becuase of how it sways and stuff

some one in the fourms made this post i want to share:

Here you can see how you use pulsars withoit TaCCog or micromanagement:

Steps:

1. Set attack Range to 3000

2. Disable that "first move, than attack"

3. Set pulsars on autocast

4. Attackmove on enemy

The ship will attack and fire pulsars on 6000 range but keep moving. Before reaching 3000 they are done with fire so you can give them new moveorders.

Thanls much appreciated.

I still think they should change pulsars a bit though. maybe give them a tiny bit more spread because casting it yourself is just a pain in the ass and if you have the skill on autocast anyway then whats the point of even making it an active ability?

They just need to make pulsars a normal weapon and not an ability,

isent working for me. i set up my ships and the pulser just doesent fire on auto. just had a breakthrough and tried 5 or 6 runs on it and the pulser would not fire unless i told it too. i even tried taking it off auto and turning it on again.

It's so cumbersome having to use the current tools available. They need to give Eldar a special AI order panel, or something. Because "broadside" and "prow" facing are literally useless to eldar. Prow facing man. It's bad.

Did everything by the book, but ships still refuse to fire Pulsars on auto.

gave it another shot and it worked this time. useing them in this manner really adds to the hit and run feel of the eldar. I still think though that making them a normal weapon would be best though

I agree on making it a standard weapon. Just give it a super long firing delay like the Ork front cannons. I haven't gotten to far with the Eldar but with the extra micro the ships already require for movement I'm loathe to screw around with pulsars.

What did you do to make it work?
