Phenom 2 CPU in 2016?

Wow i can't believe there are soo many people still using the Phenom 2.

I had a Phenom 2 955 overclocked too 4.0GHZ for 5 years straight its a cracking CPU
I only upgraded to the FX 8350 last year i didn't think anyone was using these anymore so i guess i was wrong :-P

I like AMD's stuff they seem to age better with time i mean the FX 8350 might not be the strongest CPU in the world but i bet i could get 5 years from it if it lags a little i will just overclock the crap out of it win win everything i play plays at 60 FPS 60HZ at 1920 x 1080p i am a happy duckling :)

I'm rocking a 2012 Ivy Bridge i5 3470, Sandy Bridge still holds up as well.

I hope AMD will bring 2017 a good new CPU, because today there is nothing... Intel Core i3 can hit AMD CPUs in many games. AMD need the Zen-Processor! I have a Core i7 with 6 Cores, and I love this CPU :) Maybe I switch somday back zu AMD, but my i7 6850 will be lomg strong :).

Winter time is upon us, I may build another PC and put AMD parts in it, that way I won't have to turn on my furnace.

AMD is such junk LOL. As far as I remember most games ran horribly at AMD systems. Drivers, heat, noise, crossfire sucks and their fake 8 core fx8350........

AMD are not junk there products last much longer then intel with intel you have to upgrade you're motherboard every year to get the latest CPU intel does this on purpose for sales $$$$ getting a FX chip and putting the extra money towards a better graphics card will destroy a intel cpu also remember that intel CPU'S are locked you have to pay more for the Unlocked K edition most gamers are still on 1929 x 1080 at 60hz i doubt it would bottleneck anyway if so a overclock would fix this nothing is wrong with AMD Zen is out soon enough so hopefully some compeition is in order ;-)

Intel dont bring out new cpu's every year as far as I know.
Also I dont own one but theres still a lot using the 2500k without issues, thats a proper cpu.
AMD is the budget range, its always been that way, thats the reason I bought it years ago, it was cheaper

I was using it till a few months ago too. Upgraded to fx 8320, oc'ed to fx8350.

I was using it till a few months ago too. Upgraded to fx 8320, oc'ed to fx8350.

Me too mines at 4.0GHZ with the hyper 212 evo everything i plays fine i don't see any bottleneck at all if i ever feel brave i might push it futher possibly 4.3ghz but right now its fine for the games i play :)
