Except some people on the Steam forums who for some reason were under the impression.
Tank combat is not at all hard, its the fact people do not want to sit down and communicate or take the time to learn it that makes it difficult for them. I for one enjoy the tank combat greatly in Ro2 as limited as it is due to the fact there is only 2 tanks that can be used. As for the developer who responded to my thread, I would like to know why when I first preordered the Ro2 deluxe edition why all of the promises to free game content and expansion to the Ro2 franchise such as added vehicles have either been delayed or completely canceled. For I have bought this game thinking it would be just like the original Red Orchestra and its massive variety of tank warefare that it supported. It is in all honesty a major let down and in some cases may it be seen as 'False Advertisement'.
We did not promise any expansions with Digital Deluxe. Once things have settled down from the Rising Storm release we will re-evaluate what we should focus on next for the game.
So Additional vehicles are still in the plans then, well I hope they indeed come. Would love to see IS-2 vs Tiger and other famous tanks going at it.
You do realize you can join a infantry only server right? You can filter them out.
For your next game, you should announce that you'll give them a free expansion. Once you make it, make them pay for it. Oh almost forgot! Give the people who buy the expansion the original game for free! Don't worry about people feeling cheated; in today's society they're all fanboys and will defend your decision till the bitter end. It's a fool proof plan! Cheers!
The 'Why this game fails' thread is a very good detailed version of my thread with alot more stuff that I originally wanted to say in this one. Should check it out, I totally agree with him.
If you want a tank simulator, get a tank simulator.
