No tank combat in Rising Storm?
Wow complete waste of money then, I only bought rising storm in hopes they might actually improve on their tank combat gameplay since it has a ton of potential but I see once more Tripwire has ripped everyone off and spat on the preorder deluxe players from back in Ro2 once again with this rip off. I would have honestly rather spend the 15$ on a tank expension pack then this game. Was hoping to kill some tojo tanks.

Nobody said there would be tanks.
Except some people on the Steam forums who for some reason were under the impression.

I didn't pay no attention to those who said there would be on the forums since I do not bother with them, but Tripwire has time and time again promised improving and adding more content to the game other than "Simple maps that anyone who can mod can clearly make on their own most likely better than the developers themselves.", my question is what happened to their whole "Oh we are gonna add more tanks to the game." Speech they were having when the game was first released way back in the day.
They are adding it, just not at the release....
Excuse me for being alittle skeptical but they said they would add that before rising storm, so I have very high doubts tripwire will stop being EA and actually go on their promises.

Oh, that old promise? I thought everyone agreed by now that tank warfare in RO2 was so bad that there is no sense wasting development time on it. They certainly didn't promise tanks and tank maps for Rising Storm. Can't say I blame them.

There is no tank combat in Rising Storm at launch. We have experimented with it (as users who dig around the SDK will find), but we have nothing to announce at this time.

Tank combat is not at all hard, its the fact people do not want to sit down and communicate or take the time to learn it that makes it difficult for them. I for one enjoy the tank combat greatly in Ro2 as limited as it is due to the fact there is only 2 tanks that can be used. As for the developer who responded to my thread, I would like to know why when I first preordered the Ro2 deluxe edition why all of the promises to free game content and expansion to the Ro2 franchise such as added vehicles have either been delayed or completely canceled. For I have bought this game thinking it would be just like the original Red Orchestra and its massive variety of tank warefare that it supported. It is in all honesty a major let down and in some cases may it be seen as 'False Advertisement'.

We stated our plan was to add additional tanks and vehicles, and we were working towards them. However our immediate plans changed.

We did not promise any expansions with Digital Deluxe. Once things have settled down from the Rising Storm release we will re-evaluate what we should focus on next for the game.

So Additional vehicles are still in the plans then, well I hope they indeed come. Would love to see IS-2 vs Tiger and other famous tanks going at it.
No tanks? YAY! :) This makes me happy. I bought the game to have an infantry experience. Love it like this.

You do realize you can join a infantry only server right? You can filter them out.

For your next game, you should announce that you'll give them a free expansion. Once you make it, make them pay for it. Oh almost forgot! Give the people who buy the expansion the original game for free! Don't worry about people feeling cheated; in today's society they're all fanboys and will defend your decision till the bitter end. It's a fool proof plan! Cheers!

The 'Why this game fails' thread is a very good detailed version of my thread with alot more stuff that I originally wanted to say in this one. Should check it out, I totally agree with him.

I didn't say hard. I said bad.
If you want a tank simulator, get a tank simulator.
