got new pc, wanted to play some rocket league but my steam controller doesnt turn on, tought np new batteries and GO

today bought new batteries but the damn controller still refuses to turn on

When I turn the controller off from big picture, it will not turn back on. Opening the battery compartment, there is a red light that is staying on. I have to remove the batteries and put them back
in to get it to turn on again.

Side note: how is the haptic feedback supposed to feel? Mine feels almost broken / weak on any setting....

Tried with the dongle, tried without. Tried with the little bluetooth looking piece pluged right in to the tower. Tried with the controller wired to the tower.
