Greeting Survivors!

Welcome to the seventh issue of the Community Crunch! To those unaware this is a topic which primarily consist of content to share, made by the community, for the community! As well as any little changes I want to make survivors aware about, which happen within our community ;).

ARK Survival Evolved on Mac and Linux!

We know you've all been waiting so patiently for the release of the Mac and Linux client. We had to delay the initial release from the 25th of June, so we could spend some extra time working on the client, testing, and optimizing the release on these two platforms. However now we are excited to announce that that the Official Release for ARK Survival Evolved on Mac and Linux will be made available on Tuesday the 30th of June!

So be sure to mark your calendars!

And we’re back again with another ARKitect feature! This time thought we’d do it a little different, I was looking around online and through the steam screenshots when I came across this photo:

Malika ♥ ✿ ♫ has decided to call the photo Future! And it’s fantastic, the great use of the painting system (which is getting better fairly soon guys!! ;)) and the use of the modern technology really makes the base look futuristic! Can’t wait to see how it ends up looking once we’ve released our sci-fi tier which is expected to be around September - October!

Please keep sharing your designs with us guys! Whether it’s a massive fortress, a beachside bungalow or a hidden hut within the jungle, we’d love to see what you creative minds have come up with and hopefully see things we wouldn’t have imagined! Wiki!

So a little while ago we announced our partnership with Curse GamePedia in creating the ultimate ARK Survival Evolved Wiki! Since the release of the game, with the help of the GamePedia staff and you players, it has grown tremendously! There’s a ton of information there, loads of tips and tricks for you to learn about the game and it’ll continue to grow - so if you’re looking to find a place where you can learn more about the game, definitely check it out!

And speaking of wikis, as you guys are aware there are a ton and ton of fan sites and communities dedicated to ARK Survival Evolved and we couldn’t be happier! One group in particular have created their own wikipedia which has been translated into German! So if there are any German ARK fans out there, you’ll definitely want to check it out!

Selfies!

Did you guys know that we have a selfie-camera in the game? If you haven’t changed your keybindings, hit the “K” key and it’ll activate this mode. It’s intended for cinematic and photo purposes really, you won’t be able to get involved with combat or anything, however it’s a great tool for taking great screenshots!

RivaL[.]ReNeGaDe from the Steam boards has shown us their great selfie skills with this super high quality shot alongside their dinosaurs! That T-Rex has clearly been practising their selfie-skills.

Something that we’re constantly excited about is that you guys always create great pictures and drawings related to ARK: Survival Evolved! Recently @MaxHeyderArt took a different approach! He’s not been able to play at the highest settings so he’s decided to take his own in-game screenshots and applied his imagination and skills to take them to the next level! Really impressive!

FYI, if you have problems with running linux version on AMD GPU, just release it without AMD GPU support. If your game doesn't run with AMD GPU, it's not yours or Epic games fault, it's AMD's fault. All linux users know that AMD's GPU drivers is pile of sh*t, and devs can do nothing about it. There is lots of linux games what comes without AMD GPU support.
Secondly, I'm pretty sure that if you guys need linux testers, there is ppl who can join and test it you offer password.

Is the Taming table on gamepedia accurate?
Especially wondering of herbivores.
I can tell the Parasaur is wrong, their fav berry is Mejo ( not just because they prefer to eat that ).
Can some of the devs clarify if Mejo is the favourite food for every herbivore, or not?

please ! i have this probleme with my main server, when i connect to it , it kicks me like after 1 sec of in game . whats strange is that i can connect to other servers. i have to try like 10 time to finnaly be able to play

I've been searching but has there been any "official" word on Mac System Requirements? My guess is something comparable to the PC so you'd be wise to have a 1 GB+ dedicated GPU, i5, etc. But I can't find anything that actually states them.

I cannot even launch ark without it crashing telling me its a video driver crash. please update and try again. I am running the latetest Nvidia driver and it still crashes everytime. Really frustrating
