ARK Server Manager v0.1 Released! (now includes auto-updater)
Created by Henry Garle!

Grab it here (updated link that now includes auto-updater to keep your server-manager up to date as we make changes!):
http://arklauncher.sadface.co.uk/Download/ARKServerLauncher.zip

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=500306494&fileuploadsuccess=1

Then after extracting, run ARKServerLauncher\ARKServerLauncher.exe to install it. Select an install folder and then run ARKServerLauncher.exe in your install folder.

From there you can easily Install/Update your Windows Dedicated Server by clicking the Install/Update button. You can start/stop your server, and change launch options. You can click on the "Rules & Gameplay" tab to change current rules settings, and in the "Raw INI" tab you can edit/add INI values directly. Finally, in the Mods section, you can browse all Mods on Steam Workshop, Download them, and activate/deactivate them & change their stacking order -- and this DOES automatically extract and set them up properly (so you never have to use a game client!). You'll also get a live feed of how many players are connected to your server on the UI.

Major limitations that will be fixed tonight:
- The "Total Conversion" launch option on the main menu doesn't do anything. For now to run SotF or a TC after downloading & installing SotF via the Mods tab, you need to go to the Raw INI section of the Rules & Gameplay tab, and add this INI key into the ServerSettings section (at the bottom of the scroll window you can add more keys):

ActiveTotalConversion 496735411

Don't try to "Activate" SotF Mod via the Mods tab, that will mess it up. Gotta run it like a Total Conversion with this approach.

Note that you can add extra/custom commandline parameters to your server launch by clicking the "Show Launch Script" button.

Things to come very soon (next couple days and beyond):
- Run remotely so you don't need direct desktop access to your server machine
- Integrated ARKon (RCON)
- Linux server support
- Integrated auto-updater for the Server Launcher app to keep it up to date.

Needless to say, the best current thing about ti

Looks promising, but how do you get the tool to scan/import your current server's settings?

so you really didn't think this through did you? We still cant use mods on our servers as most of us use a server provider but this tool need to be on the machine the server is on so well done on wasting our time. Was looking forward to this but still cant use it. Please think before you release stuff next time.

For the auto updater and the auto restart, please make a warning system so people have time to get to safety. Nobody like a server with sudden shutdown/restarts.

Maybe read the post a little closer. The first thing to come in the next couple days is likely to be the remote access. Whether this is by X11 terminal emulation, or some other approach is irrelevant. You'll be able to manage your server, with a graphical console, remotely. Give it a day or two, and be happy the devs released this to be tested a bit before you freak out that it doesn't work perfectly day one for you.

The devs have listened on this, we needed a tool to manage our dedicated servers more efficiently, it's coming. Give it a few days and bite your tongue a bit, we are getting what we asked for. My hope is the tool will provide for some direct offline profile editing (resetting engrams? fixing appearances? name changes? detailed server configuration management? maybe I can finally get join/part notifications to work right).

And btw, to the quoted poster, learn a little google-fu. I've got multiple mods running on my linux dedicated just fine. Linux isn't for everyone, and right now Ark is in a highly undocumented state. We all look forward to more information, or... you know... a tool that'll show us all the tidbits we've missed (RE: this tool incase you missed the obvious connection).

That.
And if you don't like it, make your own RCON tool. I made my own, and it have a lot of custom functions that you will not find in the ones posted at forum, and all the functions already developed.

thought THIS will be my highlight just to notice that an already exising tool was released and its useless for paid hosted servers. so hf guys who uses a root server or a private hosted server.

Some people are never going to happy.

If you are paying for hosting then you should already have some of these features and if you're not smart enough to configure THAT you have no business renting a whole machine.

As with everything generally the first iteration isn't always the best. I do like the ease of managing MODS when utilizing this utility, but the rest is rather lackluster. I look forward to the next iterations, especially the remote management portion.

After announcing a SUPER DUPER AWESOME bla bla tool which could update your mods, without checking manually on 5 modsites if there is a new update every 60 minutes, which were delayed by 1 day just to notice that this needed function isnt working.... im am not happy yeah agree with you. and many many many other server admins wont be happy too! this tool was already available for 1-2 month with most of the functions. so until there is no remote its useless! getting an announced tool just to see that the most important part (remote) is missing is awful

We're aiming to have the remote management in place within the next couple days, if not sooner. We do realize the importance of it, hang in there ;)
