I can now play fullscreen fullhd instead of windowed and low resolution.
I just added the ark executeable into the Batman Profile and did adjustments, as you wrote.
Got 2 gtx670 4gb.
The frametimes are probaply horrible, it sometimes drops under 25 fps, but both cards are working 80-100% and it seems playable.
One card with 12 fps would not be playable :D
Thx again, hope this gets bumped so our sli friends find it.
As you are a SLI user, add me on your steam buddy list and ASK when you need some help for SLI bits configuration.
You can follow this threads:

I played arround with settings alot and did some frametimeanalysis:
https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/ZFb6
Seems im stuck between 20 -35 fps no matter what.
If i reduce the quality or resoution, the fps barely get higher and the gpu load drops very low.
The average fps with my settings is 27 wich would be still okish, but the bad frametimes make it feel like far under 20 often wich is a pain in the *** ;) .
I hope they improve the performance gain on lower settings so, i can go up to ~40 fps and have a somewhat fluid experience.
Looking forward to dx12 and official sli in this game.

I went from
30FPS on a single card with mostly high settings
to
47FPS on dual cards with epic textures and high for all others
Many thx NoiseOvOre for your very helpfull post :D
rest of system
i7 4790K @ 4.4Ghz / 32GB DDR3 @ 2400Mhz / 2 MSI GTX970 4GB / Asus z97 Deluxe / BenQ RL2755HM running 1080P / Windows 10 x64 Pro IP Build 10162
Now i went from 25-35 fps sli to 20-25 fps singlecard :)
Sadly the SLI trick doesnt work anymore.
Bumping for new Trick :)

Switched to Win10. Ark still runs on one GPU, but it seems to allready take more Vram.
I got my usage up to 6gb, atleast MSI afterburner says so. Cards have 4gb.

works perfect with my GALAX GTX 980Ti HOF SLI look

edit: hard to compare but it seems to do something again. i go from 22 to 30 fps.
Using SLI GTX 680s
It might just be better to set your secondary cards just to handle the physics calculations til sli is properly implemented
Are you sure?
I just tested again and compared in singleplayer.
SLI 25-27 fps at this scene with much vegetation and dinos not perfect but playable.
Turned it of and it went to unplayable 17-20. So yes there is a improvement for me.
Do you have Windows 10?
Are your Cards 2 gb Versions wich run into vram issues there maybe?
My 4gb are instatly full. The load in sli is arround 80-90% so tehre seem to be some limitations.
Also i cant get much over 35fps, whatever i choose, maybe ure at that point allready?
Copy my settings, i think i fount a good mix for grafics and fps:
1080p, resolution scale all to the right
High
High
Medium
Medium
High
High
High (if you have 4gb vram)
sky Quality ~40%
Ground Clutter ~30% (helps against low fps in woods)
Then all off except Screen Space Ambiend Occlusion
mesh detail max
