Oviraptor Most useless dino released Next to parasaur.
Went into single player mode set taming to super quick and went out and tamed 4 of each dino 1 male 3 females. Level wasn't calculated. Without oviraptors untill about 4 hours later.

I received on average about 2 to 3 eggs per species. Each had their own pin and everything. Breed a few and got Fertalized Eggs. They were standard time.

Went in Got a breeding pair of oviraptors. Went back to base and set them on wander after checking back I received on average about the same eggs maybe a few less. So it didn't do anything for Unfertalized eggs. When I breed them the timer seems to drop by about half.

So after looking at this I can tell the only thing the ovi is good for is getting breeding dinos to breed quicker. Not much else for them. So if your big into breeding to get that perfect dino grab it and have fun if though you want something to up egg production in general I guess we wait till they either add something else or just fix the oviraptor because right now Its almost useless.

I use it for meat its not even on par with the dilos. hell even dodos have more use than this thing right now. At least dodo's lay alot of eggs.

You do realise on Single Player that if you leave your base to the point where it's not visible anymore then everything stops? So if you go away for ages and come back you're not going to find much difference in eggs.

They didn't say they went away from their base. I can only assume they did the same thing as before the oviraptors were tamed, yet yielded poor results.

Elaborate?

If it isn't:

My tribe is on a Officail PVP server (so admitting it isn't exact comparison) but we get a bazillion more eggs with even a low level Oviraptor. I'd say roughly 100% more production than before. Just remember that the Ovi' needs to be set on Wander for the increase in production to kick in. It doesn't do anything if it is just sitting there.

Sincerly hope this helps. We love our Ovi' and it saddens me that you're not having the same success.

I doubt about Oviraptor , i have several of them wandering inside my dino pen but the amount of egg i received doesn't seem increase much .
I already AFK next to Quetz for 2 hours , no egg , no poop .
Chiika Dec 6, 2015 @ 10:43pm
I've got screenshots of my dino's laying multiple eggs at once thanks to my Ovis. I'll post them, if anyone wants proof.

While I'm disappointed they don't harvest the eggs for me, I have noticed more eggs being laid (from certain dinos).

Sometimes it helps when people say it does seem to be working, or it doesn't seem to be working that you actually help the situation and say if you are SP, Official, Unofficial etc.
Paganizer Dec 7, 2015 @ 12:23am
We get an insane amount of extra eggs with ovis around.

I have one oviraptor, I've seen no improvement in egg-laying. (Official Server)

Ovi's give a rough 30% increase in eggs because your dinos with the buff can lay eggs every 11 minutes 20 seconds instead of every 17 minutes.

(tested on official pve server)

I play on official PvE server and I get a lot more eggs since the oviraptor are wandering in my base. So I don't know why it's not working for you but it does for me.
