We are excited to announce that we have taken our stance against cheaters and hackers one step further by enabling BattlEye Anti-Cheat system on the ARK as a defense tool against cheaters!

BattlEye will be run on all Official Servers, and the new executable to properly play on Official Servers is ShooterGame\Binaries\ShooterGame_BE.exe, which we’ve updated the Steam Launch options to include. If you choose to launch ShooterGame.exe directly, you will be redirected to ShooterGame_BE.exe if you connect to any Official Server running BattlEye.

If you wish to run your Unofficial Server with BattlEye, you can do so with the following launch option:

-UseBattlEye

For the time being this will only function with Windows Servers. Something to note is that BattlEye is currently not ready for Mac or Linux, so we have temporarily disabled the capability of Mac/Linux clients to connect to BattlEye Servers. We hope to have this resolved within the coming few days! Thank you for your patience Survivors <3.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the use of 3rd party programs in ARK: Survival Evolved and will continue to work on Anti-Cheat measures to put a stop to cheating and catch those attempting to gain an unfair advantage over other survivors ;).

Don't see why they couldn't wait a few days for mac and linux support. I've got 4 juvy quetzals on the go and can't connect.

They want to fight cheat programs that great and they should do everything possible in that sense. But then talking abouting balancing the game, why not wait a couple days more to allow all plateforms to access battlEye to me it is very unbalanced to disconnect Linux and Mac players from the game while Windows players can.... does balance not go with fairness?

If you read you will see that just because you are not using windows does not mean you can not play. Just means that you cant play on a server with BE. I dont understand why it is that everyone wants hackers dealt with but then when they are.....everyone does not want the antihack anymore. I say if you are caught hacking on any Steam game you should have your Steam account locked and loose all your games. Then maybe you would think tiwce. But if you are hacking who is to say you bought the game huh......

Welp! Looks like I can't play anymore.

BattlEye won't load with Windows Test-Signing Mode enable, which is something I am required to have on for some drivers I use daily. Not something I wanna keep rebooting to disable and enable over and over.

Good god, another bug. That is really annoying for my dev work with embedded hardware too. ♥♥♥♥ this patch 8 different ways to sundown.
Anti-cheat = good. Anti-players-playing = bad.
The amount of BattleBS we have to wade through now seems to grow larger and larger by the moment.
