" All Official PvE servers now have 0.25 structure decay time and 0.5 structure resource blocking radius multiplier "

I can get behind the resource block change, that is a good thing.



But a 75% reduction on Decay timers?

So Thatch is 1 day, Wood is 2 days, Stone is 3 days, Metal is 4 days now....

I strongly dislike this change, and I am sure I am not alone. I get many are asking for solutions to the rampant pillar spamming, but this is not it.



Please, Please Reconsider this choice.

this will definitely make quit about 99% of any current and future player , just because it will be imposible to sustain... bases and dinos , any human with vacations , job , countless of scenarios this patch is insanely savage , how can seriously anyone keep up with those timers?? haha

everyone is quiting , and raiding people dinos and bases... in my server lmao ñomñomñom this is wild boyz

Me and my gf will be quiting if they don't change this. We both have lives and nothing is worth making your life rotate around a game. I'm sad and angry.. we really love this game and don't want it to go down the path it is now heading down.

You may be right. I wonder if someone just altered the wrong setting on accident.

I'm hoping by "0.25 structure decay time" they meant to 1) keep the timers the same as they are now and 2) enable structure decay (the auto-destruction of structures after time) with a rate of 0.25.

Yea, it will be such sad humor when people come back on like 3 days later and everything is gone... after they have blown anywhere form 300-2000 hours on that server probably....

No no. Not just new players.

Only play on the weekends.

Gets sick.

Net down.

Death in the family(as I had last month).

School priorities(ie finals etc)

Work (admin of one of the unofficial servers I play on owns his own business and due to it being a peak season time for him, he's logged on only twice in the last week and a half to steam. Folks like him would be screwed too.)

And many other reasons.


Ironically, MassivelyOP just did a story today on some mmo's and other similar games being Games of Timers. Ark just became really bad for that.

Devs, this is so insanely stupid that you chose this course of action, it only takes two days for your dinos to go up? The same dinos you spend a day preparing to tame, the hours to tame the thing and that's not even counting the fact you've nerfed all the tamed dinos so we have to work even harder to FEED our tamed dinos. Not even mentioning the ones who are breeding dinos, there are dinos that take a week to raise and you think a two day timer is justified? What about those who work or go to school or have some event to attend that takes them out of town or those on vaction? I don't mind the decay thing nor do I mind not being able to build too close to another base but you're giving 1 day for thatch, 2 for wood, 3 for stone and 4 for metal? then only 2 days for the dinos themselves.
