You may be right. I wonder if someone just altered the wrong setting on accident.
Here is an old post by Drake on structure "decay"
https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/615085406655890947/
"Structure decay will exist in PvE. It is currently disabled in PvP but we may re-enable it later. Basically, if the structure has been inactive for a long time, it'll gradually lose health. Simply being around the structure, on your team, will prevent that from happening, or you can repair it when you return. Seems unnecessary on PvP where it is likely players will take a special glee in destroying structures they find scattered throughout the world. "
I'm hoping by "0.25 structure decay time" they meant to 1) keep the timers the same as they are now and 2) enable structure decay (the auto-destruction of structures after time) with a rate of 0.25.
Shame on you!
You finally killed PVE at all now!
cuz now you will lose a lot of OLD players on PVE... silly
No no. Not just new players.
Only play on the weekends.
Gets sick.
Net down.
Death in the family(as I had last month).
School priorities(ie finals etc)
Work (admin of one of the unofficial servers I play on owns his own business and due to it being a peak season time for him, he's logged on only twice in the last week and a half to steam. Folks like him would be screwed too.)
And many other reasons.
Ironically, MassivelyOP just did a story today on some mmo's and other similar games being Games of Timers. Ark just became really bad for that.
