Can you expand on what you mean by this?
Just wrote up a post on it. Glad there's more people who understand the problems with the system.
Ok, that was understood already. I'm not sure that your server settings had anything to do with reaching 100% - you did reduce the interval time, and by scaling the maturation time, you were able to control the amount each interaction provided accordingly. But I have to assume that your interaction intervals, on average, were on the shorter end of the scale, which allowed you that 6th interaction that pushed you over 100%. Had all your intervals been maximum time between (60 minutes), you would have ended up at ~90% when the baby matured.
I dont want that 100% imprint will be easy, is nice that we have strong things for do (especially in PVE server)
I am not saying that my server has to do with the 100% imprinting. I did all the calculation, which by the way, I was not aware of someone has done the calculation. All my research and calculation are based on my own by playing with the settings, breeding different dinos. With all the testing, only two multipliers were adjusted: BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier and BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier. The only thing I did was to share how I got my 100% imprinting. Imprinting dinos are not easy. That's a lot of work, but with the rest of the Ark players, I do have a full time job. I don't want to spend my hours waiting to breed and to imprint so indeed, the servers I have are adjusted to my liking.
Many assumed that imprinting will be 20% for all dinos, but you have to factor in the mature duration and also if you have multipliers in your server. I can't speak for official servers, but at least I can speak for people who owns their server and can adjust their settings. One testing I did was I have BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier = 10 and BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier = 1. The imprinting I gpt per interval was 43%. With shorter mature time, of course, you can't achieve 100% imprinting when the cuddle interval will be between 3 hours and 4 hours. Most you can achieve with that setting is 86%, provided you didn't miss the cuddle.
This last testing I did, the intervals were between 44 minutes and 59 minutes, but the imprinting stayed at 18.5% until the 6th one, which gave me 7.5%. I actually kept the interval time for each cuddle.
Initial - 44 minutes
2nd - 55 minutes and 57 seconds
3rd - 52 minutes and 57 seconds
4th - 50 minutes
5th - 59 minutes
6th - 54 minutes
7th - 58 minutes
When the imprinting reached 100%, the maturation process was not over. I have to wait for another 10 minutes to complete. Overall, as long as you don't miss any cuddle, the imprinting will adjust accordingly.
I don't assume. I test, I verify, I confirm.
It's a buff, but I will not call it boost. The stats remain even if someone else rides the dino. Only the person who imprinted will get the buff. Also, your tribe mates can see those imprinting.
I play on a 3X maturation server and we were looking to implement something similar. I see you are running a 10X...do you know what value we should use for 3x to increase our odds of a 100% imprint?
