Total war: World War II

I think there should be a Total War: World War II because I thought about it and it could be possible. While having to make a whole new type of unit (aircraft). But if they sell this they could make a lot of money. It would be hard, however, to get the ground units not to fight in the same position. They could do a new type of programming so that units scatter around the map. The plane units should be small and they should scatter too. If you have bombers you should be able to target a piece of land and give bombing support. The project would take years however, because of the immense amount of new gameplay added compared to other total war games. But with a little effort it could come true.

Sorry, I forgot to add they would need to add tanks too, and other motorized vehicles.

@Ivan I knew someone would say something like that, but in this thread im not saying the next thing they should make is a WWII game. I'm saying when they have nothing to do.

@Caesar 99 Nah, WWII would have much more features, like a larger campaign map, more unit types, etc. A WWI game could come later.

Current engine wont allow it. To difficult. WW1 game would be most like made over a ww2. Not to mention WW2 wont fit the unique total war battles.

Technically there is a Total War WW2 game. It s called Theatre of war,but still I know what you mean.

Theatre of War has nothing in common with Total War, except that it's RTS too.

Maybe if they slowly took steps from each new game to it being a bit different from the rest, and eventually adopt a new engine, and then they could make Total War WWII, and it will seem the same as the recent one.

@xky the reason it couldnt be modern is because it would be WAY too hard, even harder than a WW2 game because of the lightning fast planes, major explosions, high tech explosives, etc

If you wan't to play WW2 battles try the Theatre of War series, for WW2 grand strategy Hearts of Iron 3 would be very good. For modern battles check out the Wargame series. It's pretty good and plays quite realistically.

You have yet to play any TW game yet came here to express your opinion about the possible subject matter of a future TW title. Hmmm.

Then follow that up with some broad uninformed generalization about WW1 vs WW2. Sensing a pattern.

@easy Not exactly. And, no need to insult me. Many other people like you are either insulting, or probably in this case, have stronger feelings when describing something. I for one don't care about both of those possibilites, because you could have easily not found hatred in me. Shogun 2 is undoubtebly the best total war game, and with people saying rome II is taking the steps backwards, it should be easy to predict a later total war game with only one total war game. My name is not offensive, I doubt there are 10 other people here that are trying to be offensive with their name. It also is very hard to predict the future of the future of total war games, so of course it will be uninformed. I am quite offended by your rude approach, so please, do me a favor, and if you wont pay attention to me, GET OFF MY THREAD.

Btw, I do find it a little amusing you refer to this as your forum though, nice touch. I can only assume you meant get off my thread, which is only slightly less amusing given you don't own it either.

Edited to add this suggestion on WW2: Play Combat Mission. No game will ever be created for that war that can touch it. It's not a game, it's a simulation.
