Lauching game error

So... I just downloaded Shogun II, never played it before.
And... as soon as I launch it throught Steam, the first screen appears but after some seconds, something like 20-30s, the game is closed because of an error(it's not specified), I've been looking for solving this problem reading another discussions but none that I've seen helped me.
