Does The Campaign Progress To Fast?
It sure feels like it does for me. By turn 20 i had conquered all of kyushu and at 30 mori got all uppity and executed a hostage i gave him for some stuff so i took 14 provinces away from him while he was busy wiping out everything to the right of him so by 45 i had 1 province less then the realm divide and owned everything up to the shogunate for the most part. Also ikko, date and i think his name was tanaka had by turn 50 taken up all but like 3 or 4 provinces in the map that wasnt mine or the few provinces mori had left or chosokabes island.

Even at turn 30 it had already been like that and 3 might powers on the right side were just trading blows with each other. Considering how long the campaign is supposed to be it feels like the ais advance and destroy each other way to fast.

well turn up the difficulty if its too easy. I doubt you'll conquer half the map so fast on legendary mode.

ai is quite random in this game, so sometimes it can be suprisingly easy, sometimes things can get about impossible.

What difficulty were you playing at?
I finally just beat the game on Normal Long length game with the Chokasabe.
Realm Divide changes everything. Especially if you rely a lot on Trade.
All those clans scrapping with each other will make up and come after you.
It's quite easy to take over Shikoku and Kyushu but trying to control the main island becomes a foot slog.

Legendary >.> anything less the hardest difficulty on any strategy game feels boring. I also auto all the battles so im always at a disadvantage but it seems like besides the first 10ish turns of a game that the game is much easier then i expected. I mean sure if i played oda it would be a bit of a challenge but only cause im in the middle and almost die on turn 1 or 2. I expected otomo to be a bit harder.

Ah i ment i only conquered kyushu and advanced up to the shogunate. Never touched the chosokabe island.

Also my incomes 10kish without trade so i can basically just spam 120ish units of ashis and wipe the map atm even with relm divide lol

This is the first TW game I've played and I like it.
What about Multiplayer?

Surprised nobody pointed out yet that as you're playing as one of the easiest clans to play as. (I assume your Shimazu)
Their starting island is pretty small so easy to conqure, and everyone hates the Otomo so they don't usually last that long into the game, leaving Shimazu, Chosokabe and Mori as the only powerful clans that do anything over there, and island clans tend not to go to war, leaving only Mori, which is naval not land experts.

Not to mention that the land over in Kyushu is great for economy.

If you want a challenge your probably better off picking something in central japan like Hattori, which is surrounded by worthless farmlands giving you little income and trade, or the Tokugawa which start near several stronger clans.
Feel like Hojo would also suck due to its position being near the middle, and having no real advantages.

Alternatively play as the Otomo in Kyushu, and experience the psuedo-realm divide of anti-christiananity.

I dont do multiplayer in games normally. My computer cost me $55 so i usually lag others and if i dont lag them they kick me when they realize my policy is all war no diplomacy >.> why should i care for peace or a trade treaty when i can just kill you etc.

I played medieval 2 first and i loved it. I didnt expect to like it so much to be honest. I remember when rome total war first came out and i thought i hate it. I dont wanna manage tactical battles with no empire building etc but i was a bit wrong about that. It was only a year or so ago that i got medieval in the humble bundle and loved it then later i picked up empire and shogun 2 a bit after that although i neglected to play shogun 2 till now for the most part.

No im playing as otomo. I like their guns more lol. Im 80% sure i just got super lucky getting it that fast. I expected to get it by turn 30ish but then out of nowhere the guy in the middle of the island declared war on the shoni which i didnt expect and marched his 2 full armys out and they wiped each other out and i cleaned up the mess in about 5 turns.

For a challenge i already did what was supposedly the hardest with oda and it seemed so easy after you get past being annilated in the first few turns that i just made a new game with otomo and saved over him lol. Also christanity is awesome. Not only do you get nanban for awesome ships and the ability to make a trade route with everyone but each nanban converts every single border city to christianity as well making it so easy to convert large amounts of cities that it almost doesnt seem worth it to be a normal religion.

I was thinking of playing as them and read up on it. They start in a bad spot with everyone willing to war them making them a pain. Ide play them but the trade bonus really didnt seem worth it and their bonus's didnt seem interesting enough.

I normally dont play people in my strategy games simply because the games never finish and i have no interest in playing a game i will never finish. Also my computer costs $55 so i usually get booted from multiplayer strategys so all ive played for the last decade is like 99.5% ais lol.

Its a duo core 3.33 ghz with 16 gigs of ram but the max graphics it can do is 512 mbs and that card isnt even supposed to work in this. 256s the max but i bought a $10 512 and it worked although i had to saw off part of the metal and remove one of the side panals to fit it lmao

I can play anything but this years of games with no or next to no lag in single player so im happy with it.

Amazon :D

Last time i saw it it was listed for $55 and if i had some technical knowhow i could just migrate it to a bigger box and fix the power supply problem which would let me use a better card but alas i cannot. Im just saving for a $300 8 core now on ebay lol

I always heard Oda was easy, and able to just ashigaru spam on lower difficulties due to better stats and cheaper costs.
