Game wont launch

Steam will say Running for about 7 seconds then just stop. Nothing happens. Reinstalled, updated drivers, verified files, cleared cache, ran installers, disabled McAfee, uninstalled Steam, ran as admin, deleted blob file reinstalled DirectX, adobe flash, vcredist, hell I saw something about making IE the default browser so I did that. And probably a few other things I've forgotten in the frustration of trying to make this work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I heard from someone at CA, and apparently they're aware of a problem with Windows 10 and they're trying to fix it.

Gave me a suggestion about deleting the game and reinstalling in a different location or something of the like. I'll find his response later and post it here, as well as my results from doing so.

The CA moderator told me to try backing up my preferences.script and modified.log, deleting the Shogun 2 folder from the appdata, then uninstalling and reinstalling the game at a new directory/location. I went to try this, and found no preferences.script in the appdata, and the modified.log was totally blank. But I did it anyway, reinstalling now. Will update when I get the chance to try again.
