Arma 2 Combined Operations Fix and manual mod install for steam

First of all i will explain how to do the Arma 2 Combined Operations fix for steam.

Second i will also explain how to add mods manually.

I have searched for quite some time for this fix with trial and error but everything works now.
First of all i will explain how to make Arma 2 OA have the content of Arma 2 itself, because steam installs both games in separate folders which for this game, is not allowed.

This fix should help for a lot of missing content errors that you can get with mods or when trying to play a game that has Arma 2 content when playing Arma 2 OA

Step 1:
Download and install Arma 2 with steam being in Administrator mode

Step 2:
Make sure you run Arma 2 at least once in Administrator mode ( to be sure, you can play the bootcamp for a few minutes )

Step 3:
Download and install Arma 2 OA with steam being in Administrator mode

Step 4:
Make sure you run Arma 2 OA at least once in Administrator mode ( to be sure, you can play the bootcamp for a few minutes )

Step 5:
Exit Arma 2 and go to your steam library, right click on your Arma 2 OA in your list, select Properties. In the General tab, press Set Launch Options.

Step 6:
A box pops up, in here you enter this;

"-mod=C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\expansion"

Assuming your steam folder is on your C:\ , if not, change it to the letter it is on like D:\

"-mod=D:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;D:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\expansion"

Also do NOT forget to copy the " " as well.

Step 7:
Press OK and start Arma 2 OA, and u will see in the expansions tab that the Arma 2 content is enabled.



Now i will explain how to add Mods for Arma 2 OA manually. For example i will use the JSRS Sound mod and the community based addon ( CBA ), Which is required to run most addons

Since Arma 2 OA, you can install mods by placing them in your Documents\Arma 2 folder

Step 1:
Having downloaded the mods and since we now have Arma 2 CO, open the CBA folder and copy the files ( @CBA , @CBA_A2 and @CBA_OA ) to your Documents\Arma 2

Also to the same with JSRS, Open the packed file and copy the file ( @JSRS 1.5 ) to your Documents\Arma 2

Step 2:
Since you got familiar with the Set Launch options from the Arma 2 CO fix, we will open it again and add the mods that we want the game to load when we start it.
for example: we added the CBA and JSRS mod and we want it to load when we start the game so we add;

"-mod=@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA"

and for the JSRS mod we add:

"-mod=@JSRS 1.5"

so when looking at the entire path, it should look like this:

"-mod=C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\expansion" "-mod=@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA" "-mod=@JSRS 1.5"

step 3: Press OK and have fun

well i did what you said in the first part and i aded that line into my launch options. it opend the game this time but after tghe loading screen it crashed and said something like "bad serial number" or something
