-mod=@DayZ_Epoch or copy and paste then click the button below it launch dayz now that should work it did for me
So now you have a working version of the old DayZ commander that you can use to join games and manage mods, as well as the 112555 version of ARMA 2 OA to join servers that still use this patch.
Hope this helps. If there is a mistake here, please let me know. Took me an hour last night to figure this out myself.
Regards
In the past several months, DayZ mod has gone through an entire database change, BattleEye changes, Gamespy removal, Steamworks migration, beta patches, and more. This has led to a huge variation in how the game is run and installed from one machine to the next. Perfect example: When I recently reinstalled, my new install through steam no longer had the Ëxpansions\Beta folder. That would be fine, except my server and client used config files that launched through those locations. Some people still have those folders, even though they are no longer used. Then DayZ Commander updated and now it removed the option to choose your version (which is something that DayZ has had since...forever...and a lot of servers depend on that).
For me, I started with a fresh install of ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA, and then followed these steps. I am not able to join any of the Epoch, DayZ, and Overwatch/Overpoch servers that have not yet updated. It is hard to troubleshoot what is happening for you because there are just so many permutations to the DayZ install experience. The mod has been completely overhauled over the past six months, and not everyone has reinstalled their client in that time.
In addition to that, a lot of servers have already migrated to the new patch.
I can tell you that this works for me and others, because I pieced this together through a dozen threads online last night. What version does DayZ commander show that you have for your ARMA 2 OA?
I will be out but on my mobile for a few hours. Ill try to respond if you post again. Hope I can help, and good luck.
But my server is still 103718, and when I re-opened DZC is was the currently installed version, haven't tried moving to 112555... Thanks again, and sorry for your troubles Andersen, I feel your pain.
