Drakensang The River of Time

Drakensang The River of Time

Problems...
As you can probably imagine, I'm having problems starting the game, any advice?

I keep getting the Nebula 3 error.

Thanks for your time.

Set the commandline options to: -windowed -d3d9 -novideo
Or, instead add: -autoconfig -windowed -noborder to your startup settings inside the games library.
And download this if you truly want to play full screen mode: https://www.howtogeek.com/324835/how-to-play-any-windows-game-in-full-screen-borderless-windowed-mode/

Do you have another option for Fullscreenizer. Ive tried it several times and it does not seem to work. All your other corrections worked but the botom of the game screen is cut off by the windows desk tray. Thanks in advance.

I'll have a look..
Normally you should be able to run it perfectly fine even 'without' using fullscreenizer like i do.
Let me install the game again and see what else can be done..
(and yes, you will keep the Windows desk tray below but that's a small price to pay isn't it?)

Have a look at this.. (it's my experimental fix so keep that in mind but i have reports of fixing screen sizes for similar games Windows 10 tested). Apply at own risk, so make sure to note everything down as a back up just in case!!!

Regedit:
HKEY Local Machine
System
CurrentControlSet
Control
GraphicsDriver
Configuration
MSBB...(primary driver) in my case
00 (click to open)
00 (and once more)
Select and change: Scaling 4 to 3 (REG_DWORD)
(you might need a restart after this point)
Restart game.

I'm having the same problem. The actual error:

Nebula3 System Error
*** ERROR ***
Application: Nebula3
Thread: MainThread
Error: Failed to laod XACT sound bank 'D:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Drakensang The River of Time/export/audio/amb_a1_dungeon.xsb'!

I tried adding '-autoconfig -windowed -noborder' to the startup in the games library, but the only difference was that I got a windowed black box before the error rather than a fullscreen box.

It's likely an issue with your sound configuration.
(did you verify the games cache integrity) If not run the program first!

So basically all you need to do is:
(a) Select your audio/speaker icon and select it being your main audio program.
(b) Right click on the corresponding audio icon in order to open it's properties.
(c) Select the advanced options and adjust the sample frequency to 24 bits, 48000 Hz (Studio).
(+) Apply and refresh your screen afterwards..
(&) Additionally you can do the same when you're using a headset as your main audio program.

Thanks for the help, but no luck and no change. Any other ideas? (BTW, I'd just finished the original game, successfully, with no issues other than having to do a bit of Alt-Enter-ing to get the screen full sized.)

OK! I found a previous thread suggesting that I should uninstall both games, delete the appcache, and try reinstalling River of Time on its own. That, coupled with your original suggestions on the game startup settings, seems to have done the trick. Huzzah!!
