Nothing wrong with uPlay
Takes 2 seconds to create another account, is a social platform, anything goes wrong? Contact uPlay support, much faster than Steam support. I don't see the problem apart from those joining the bandwagon much like iSheep.

Is the principle of the thing.

this is the last game i bought which requires a different account than my steam account. If the companies are not able to link a steam account to their own crap, so be it. Not again.

I'm not going to create a new account. I do not want to tell anyone my e-mail, remember a password, stupid cd-key. I just threw my money on the game that I will never play (I already deleted it from the disk). I cannot even return it to Steam and ask for refund.
I believe that I was deceived.

Use the same password, or use KeyPass. Since when could you ever return games for a refund? It quite clearly says "3rd-party DRM: UPlay "

The principle which is exactly the same as Steam.

we already have steam we dont need 5 more things slowing down PC all the time becose they are to gready to use steam only for their games.

think about it. First theres steam then theres origin then there are windows live games and now uplay.
If every company makes its own software becose we will allow it then I hope you can live with the horror of spaming your PC with useless software.

And since Im buying this on STEAM I expect to require steam only

Unless you have a crap PC, it will not make a difference whether you have uPlay running or not.

Utter frakking bullcrap. Ubisoft? Never again.

Nothing wrong with uplay? Really?

Apparently you have many folks on Steam who disagree with you as evidenced by this petition:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/48220/discussions/0/810923580576610720/

You want to read about Ubisoft's most recent launch? Look at the problems in this thread and tell me that there is nothing wrong with uplay.

I don't know how... but Ubisoft somehow suckers developers that can make decent games. Too bad many of those get skipped due to the fact that they punish paying customers by making them use uplay.

Sorry... uplay is garbage. I can only hope that someone with a clue at Ubisoft wakes up to the fact that DRM is not the solution. You make good games, people buy them. Plain and simple.

Yea Im with you guys, I get games on steam specifically to consolidate my
passwords/accounts etc. Nothing wrong with people who dont mind
starting another account for every game they own, I like to know though
before I buy a game if it is going to require another account registration, When i originally bought this game ( A long time ago) It did NOT require an outside account
now it does
again, nothing that wrong with outside account, but I think
games should let you know at the top
if it does or will in the future

Petition? More like sheep.

Oh well, I'll enjoy my amazing game whilst you can all cry in the corner about not wanting uPlay. Have fun missing out on Watchdogs, bunch of morons.

Funny how you commented on the petition, but completely ignored the 2nd post which details legitimate problems by many people. But, then again... I guess it's easier to ignore the facts isn't it?

I already had a Uplay account from AC3, I've had no problems with the game so far. Crashed once the first time I booted it up, but that's because I forgot to close my browser and Flash crashed.

Like the other guy, its the principle of it. Uplay is ♥♥♥♥ and even if it wasn't, why would they make a game, release it on Steam, then require you to make a different account to play the game? What's the point? Steam is a much better system, social network, and all in all, community of gamers, uniting together.

Not everyone uses Steam.
