時の砂三部作の外伝的作品で、時の砂シリーズの集大成。

アクション部分は水や復元を用いた新しいギミックによりアスレチック部分の
難易度がほど良く上がっている。トラップやパズルもバランスよく配置されて
おり、理詰めでいけばクリアできるので理不尽な部分がない。
戦闘部分も二つの魂で採用されていたスピードキルは無くなったが、敵を倒す
ことで経験値を取得して各種能力や体力・砂の器・攻撃力を取得・上昇させる
ことができ、シリーズ前作と比べても爽快感のある戦闘になっている。
カメラワークもだいぶ改善されている。

時の砂三部作全ての良いところを取捨選択して、基本に忠実に作ったよう
な作品。PoP時の砂シリーズが好きなら楽しめると思う。人によってはもっ
さりアクションとボリューム不足が気になるかもしれない。
Uplayが必要。日本語化無し。

Its the 5th & last Game of the 3D Series in 2010 by Ubisoft Montreal (Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, Rainbow Six)

++ Story is good, but only a bad/ sad Ending available, an alternate good ending is missing (with Malick & Razzia & maybe a Comeback of the Djinns)

++ Graphic (best Game of the Series, but yeah 10 years old, still fine)

+ Sound is good for Immersion, but its more subtle than outstanding

++ Gameplay is fine (2 Difficulties, Upgrade System, better Movements, Camera not always perfect, Elements)

+ Extras (21 well hidden Orb Sarcophagus, but no good Ending, Challenge Mode for Expansion Orbs)

+ New Game plus to start on Normal with Upgrades, since you cant get all Upgrades in 1 Run

+/- no FIVE (5) Trading Cards

+/- Controls changed a little bit in Contrast to Original Sand of Time Trilogy, so a few Mistakes at Start after playedSoT, WW, TTT before, but, easy to learn

-- a little bit short like Sand of Time, if you rush through it can done in 5-7 Hours

- only 1 Save Slot, but automatically (not playing for Hours & than forget to save)

- Fight-System isnt interesting/ good

- some Points in the Game are really tricky & hard

- no Screenshots on Steam

I played this once on Uplay (Djinn Town Beginning & never finished it. Now 4 th POP finished.

Got reminded again why I don't buy Ubisoft games on PC. Start a launcher with a different launcher to find out you have to download another launcher, make an account, log in and be always online to play an 11 year old single player game.

賛否両論なのも分かります。
砂の三部作に比べてストーリーやアクションの重厚さは減ってますが、
ストレスにならないほど良い難易度でまとまってはいる印象です。
何よりこのシリーズで初めて物を投げなかったｗｗ　そんな難易度ですｗ
なのでちょっと物足りなく感じますが、爽快感を保ってクリアできました。
〇ヒロインが巨乳。
〇多様性という名のもとのヒロイン黒人起用。
△ヒロインがしゃくれている。シリーズ№１のしゃくれ。
△しゃくれが気になってストーリーが入ってこない。

This review comes mostly from the removal of certain online features but most importantly from the lack of access to the purchased DLCs after the Sept 1st, 2022:

For a company of this size it's unthinkable to go forward with this decision without at least providing a way for loyal customers that purchased the DLCs to be able to access them after the online services are shutdown, even if the solution could be based on finding a way to add the DLC to the base game files and then simply give everyone free access to all the DLCs after the shutdown date.

The amount of money you will save for not guaranteeing the support on the DLCs will be instead lost on possible future sales on the base game that won't go forward plus the DLCs could even be implemented in separate to be sold and most importantly the loss of goodwill from your players since this can happen again in the future.
Plus you can even add the point that this will also be a loss of game content for historical and archiving purposes.

After replaying the POP: Sands of Time Trilogy, I decided to play this for the first time and didn't expect it to be so damn great with those mixed reviews here. WTF, it's the...
..BEST Prince of Persia I have ever played!
..YEP! it works completely fine, no rumour plz!

So, if you follow the story timeline (not release date), POP games should be played in this order:
1. POP: Sands of Time
2. POP: FORGOTTEN SANDS
3. POP: Warrior Within
4. POP: The Two Thrones
But I highly recommend you to play this one in the end if you like desserts after the end of your dinner 😁 (story not linked with SOT Trilogy)

I felt this game runs on the same version of the engine that powers modern Assassin's Creed Unity. Those 144 FPS fluid parkour combat combined with amazing visuals makes it really good! They simplified the combat so much that it's now basically Hack and Slash game. They introduced 4 godly powers and added an upgrade skill tree and TBH, these are very welcome changes from my side even if we lose that level of challenge like in the Sands of Time trilogy.

If the game shows error 53 during launch, just quit Ubisoft Connect and delete the registry file of Forgotten Sands to fix it. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft disabled online services so now Ezio character is not unlockable. Plus can't take Screenshots! Seriously I wish to Thumbs down this game for this but it would be very unfair for such a great game. At least cloud save still works.

So much superpower, you will wonder if he is the God of Persia.

Do not buy this game. it uses an online service to play that is no longer active. It is completely unplayable and will be a waste of your money. It was only 1.99, but still. I shouldn't have to deal with this.

Forgotten Sands

Genre: Action/Adventure

The Good:
+ Still looks great despite its age
+ The ability to freeze/unfreeze water while platforming adds a new twist to platforming. It feels very satisfying to complete a difficult platforming section especially in the later half of the game
+ A good mix of platforming and puzzle solving.

The Average:
+/- Killing enemies rewards you with experience to upgrade skills. Other than upgrading health and energy, many of the skills felt pointless given how poor combat is.
+/- Around 5 hours to complete
+/- The story is decent at best.
+/- Requires Uplay

The Bad:
- Out of all the PoP games, this has the worst combat. The game throws huge amounts of enemies at you and almost all of them can be beaten by just hacking away at them with the occasional kicking to knock back shielded enemies. They all die very easily. There is no strategy, tactics or thought behind any of it.

- A very lackluster PC port. The graphics options are almost non-existent. To change the resolution/vsync you must go into the game’s folder and open ‘game settings’. I had to go to a message board to find out this information.

Conclusion:
Every aspect of this game feels like a huge step backwards compared to what we have previously seen before in the series. The game is average in almost all aspects of its design. Worth at least one playthrough if you can get the game at a heavy discount.

Currently, acquiring games published by Ubisoft may not be the best decision, despite the quality they may offer. This is due to the company's policies regarding access to the games and the licenses we purchase. A recent example is the case of The Crew, whose servers were shut down, depriving players not only of the multiplayer mode but also of the single-player story mode, and is now also is inaccessible on Ubisoft Connect. This situation is not new; in the past, we saw similar attempts with games like Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3, where server closures affected access to DLCs. A more serious case was that of Might & Magic Duel of Champions, a free-to-play game with microtransactions, whose closure not only removed the game from stores but also erased achievements and statistics from accounts, rendering important player information inaccessible.

With this panorama, we cannot guarantee that Ubisoft games, especially those linked to their Ubisoft Connect application, will remain in our accounts or that we can play them when we want. Until there is a change in these policies, it is not recommended to acquire these titles. Personally, games linked to this company will no longer be part of my wishlist, even if I am interested in playing them.

Esto se debe a las políticas de la empresa en cuanto al acceso a los juegos y las licencias que compramos. Un ejemplo reciente es el caso de The Crew, cuyos servidores fueron cerrados, privando no solo del modo multijugador, sino también del modo historia para un jugador, y que además ahora es inaccesible en Ubisoft Connect. Esta situación no es nueva; en el pasado, vimos intentos similares con juegos como Assassin's Creed III y Far Cry 3, donde el cierre de servidores afectó el acceso a DLCs.
