anno 1404 - dawn of discovery! best strategy game in years!!!

perfect... absolutely incredible!!! great graphics... thousands of items!

near 100 000 maps combinations... always a new adventure with the seeds possibility.

It's my favorite of the old Era Anno games. I play it with the IAAM mod which adds stuff from the Anno1701 game as well as gameplay mechanics. Though that only sp only, the Unofficial patch is what people run for mp since it fixes a lot of things left over by the dev.

I think the engine they used for Anno1404 is one of the best 3d engines I have seen for the type of game it is. I think they used that same engine for The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Gold as well.
