For anyone who is stuck on the "Connecting...creating join room (2/2)...." screen, read this.
If you are stuck on that screen, kChamp has said that it appears to be an issue currently beyond his control, where some players' networks are unable to create a TCP connection or something, so I recommend doing the following:

Wait for 1-1.5 weeks (Someone had the issue, and then it spontaneously started working after a couple days), and if the issue still hasn't been fixed for you, you can get a refund through Steam now if you have owned a game for less than two weeks and played it for less than two hours.

Good news, I just tried again, and it stopped at authenticating, but a message came up saying "We're revamping our servers, but we'll be back up soon", hopefully this will fix the issue.
If you have already fixed it, ignore this message.

The way to fix it is to uninstall Unity 5. If you have Unity 4 or under, don't uninstall it.

Didn't work
Yeah, I did it yesterday and it worked perfectly, but now it stopped working again.

Sounds more like a coincidence, it sometimes connects initially, but then disconnects mid-game. Maybe try installing Unity 4?

It's nothing in the game files, it's something you download to play some flash games and some other downloadable games.

I have the SAME exact problem. It just started happening today and i really hope they do something to fix it.
On an iMac having multiple OS X accounts this issue appears under 1 but not under the other 3. I know this because it didn't work under my sons account where it should be. And while trouble shooting I found that it did work under mine and the others. So the issue is local to an OS X account. NOT to the network which is shared amongst all accounts.
