Message regarding Linux versions
Hi Linux Firetop fans!

When we uploaded the initial builds of the game, we accidentally included an untested version of the Linux build. Some of you may have access to this game but keep in mind it is unofficial. We recommend that you wait 3-4 weeks for the official Linux release.

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

… and good luck of course!

Thanks! I'll keep the game in my watch list for now.

Just saw on GamingOnLinux that this is coming to Linux-based operating systems - I had most of the books back in the 80's (including "TItan" and "Out of the Pit"), plus I have most of the games to date on numerous other systems (such as my Sony PlayStation Vita)...

The moment this is available for Linux-based operating systems, I intend to buy it.

I'm running this on Arch Linux. I get the screen resolution selector window, after which I get a black screen with what looks like the in-game mouse pointer. After a few seconds, though, the window just closes and I drop back to the desktop.

Is there any log output I can send? I've run Steam from a terminal, but don't seem to see anything printed to stdout.

I once got through to the game start menu after selecting 800x600 windowed resolution, and a reduced graphics option. (It may have been 'Fastest'.) I haven't been able to replicate that, though.

Hi tealeaf. Sadly we don't officially support Arch Linux. We would recommend running it through the Steam client on Ubuntu or getting a refund.

Is Firetop 64 or 32 bit only or will Firetop run on both 64 & 32 bit (Linux) operating systems?
