Crash when I try starting a new game [FIXED]
Any help would be appreciated. I used to play this game on my old computer and i never had a problem. Since i don't have any of my save files on here from my old computer i tried starting a new game. I made a quick character and started. As soon as the loading bar gets filled, the game gives me a black screen and i have to use the task manager to get out of it. Are there any solutions to this problem?

EDIT: I downloaded Kotor 2 and it still doesn't load beyond this point

EDIT 2: Fixed. Turn off Frame buffer effects in advanced graphics tab

Same here, except it just exits out, I dont have to use Task Manager. Bummed out because I bought both KOTOR 1 and 2 and this is happening on both of them.

And if that still doesn't help: disable Soft Shadows too.

For those of you having trouble starting the game due to movies being played - go to your steam library SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\swkotor and find the
swconfig.exe
- disable the movies in it and your game should start.
