Click instead of drag and drop F2 inventory?
Angry Bear: there will be doors (water-proof when closed) in v0.1. About the inventory, do you mean we could select an item of the inventory by just clicking on it, instead of having to put it in the item bar first ? That's what i had planned to do
Also some way to raise your health cap. This is especially for brutal because 25 health makes end game ridiculous (like when you're hunting black tiger fish for their scales and they two shot you)
I think in the future more enviromental factors should be added, so far the flooding is the main bulk that gives the concept of the "enviroment is against you" feel.
More enviromental factors such as (typical I know) lava, perhaps specifically from a volcanic area special to that region which makes it more hazardous to attempt to approach to gain resources one might need for various things.
High wind areas even, just more treacherous enviroments in general that come to the player (like flooding). This would add to the whole difference of this game in regards to how you want it to be seen as 'different' from Terraria and Starbound etc. The driving 'difference' that I speak of with this game is the sudden change that can come to the player's situation in regards to enviroment being more realistic or realistically treacherous (sudden flood that changes how you might approach the current situation), not like how the player stumbles upon 'static' dangers such as lava in other games like Terraria.
@Gaddy Games
Currently if you click an item in an inventory and drag it to a spot on a map where you wanna place it, then you can place it there (Your post answered my question and I think you got the main idea of the question anyway). Sorry for not being clear in my previous post ;)
Thanks!
@Anarchist: very good points you have. But technically i'm limited. Wind for example would require to add another simulation layer, and to make the water go side-way, quite hard. And about lava... well i won't say anything but the v0.2 might please you ^^
@Jaxies: that's something i've been thinking about, for now i won't do it as it could remove some challenge if you can change difficulty at will. Or maybe only being able to increase the difficulty level, i don't know
@Talazar
Sounds like, such mode would be kind of like a roguelike. The goal of roguelike is to get further each time you try. However doing the same thing over and over again can be tiring so the game has to keep the gameplay fresh by randomized and/or tons of content. I would guess that adding it later (if add at all) is much better idea than right now though (more content, more diverse gameplay).
Yeah it is ridiculous to get 2 shot by fish, which is why you should add a way to raise the health cap. It would be a cool mid game upgrade to help deal with the higher tier monsters. The reason I suggested it is because I really enjoyed that kind of style when playing don't starve as it gives you a really tough goal to go for. Bear makes a good point though, later if ever. Earlier today I did it on hard, just not respawning when I was given the chance, so I guess I made my own hardcore mode.
When space is pressed the hero jumps non stop.
Character tends to have a trouble getting into vertical 1x1 tunnels (does not want to stand in the middle of a block).
Character can climb 1 block automatically (like stairs).
Other:
When turrets picked up they are not fixed or it requires additional metal.
Miscellaneous:
Elevators allow to go down and up quickly in vertical tunnels?
If a lot of mining is going to be a part of gameplay some autominers would help alot (for the end game mining, when everything else was already done).
@others: thanks for the suggestions!
