Blocked in Germany
There is no law that requires imports to be blocked from running in Germany! So stop that already!

EDIT, 15 October 2014: The region lock is looked into and will most likely be removed. See page 5 of this thread!
EDIT, 16 October 2014: Maybe not. See the following pages.
EDIT, 17 October 2014: It seems Square Enix does not yet want to remove the lock, but German press writes about it (see page 14 and 15).

Agreed. The regular uncut version was still playable if you got it gifted by someone outside of germany. Why is there a need to add the "prohibitrunincountries" tag to the Definitive Edition ?

It would not even need to be there for nazi symbols, much less so for anything else. It's just there to probably create some undesirable German censored version and push its sales. Or because the publisher has no clue about German laws.

LoL =D Allready activated. Just use dispenser or sth. Trade and switch steam to english and use vpn like hotspot shield. activate and its in ur libary and can play it.

Which is breaking the SSA and can lead to the game being removed or the account banned.

You know that the game start is blocked with a german IP?

Just dont know why,but I think there is something behind the game block ,game is only a game, why so serious.

Because I feel like being an underhuman for living in Germany with the way we are treated by publishers nowadays. Either I become a criminal (in the least case by breaking the SSA for using proxies which is a fraudulent action under German law) or I can't play games thanks to ridiculous ♥♥♥♥ like this.

Germany. Porn is legal but the games are censored.

But it's not legal to show porn to people of up to 17 years unless you are permitted to do so (being their "Erziehungsberechtigter", i.e. usually a parent).

Stopping the game from running with a german ip is just totally unnecessary. It features no banned symbols like Wolfenstein - TNO did.
Protoblob Oct 2, 2014 @ 6:31am
In the Wolfenstein case it also is totally unnecessary, since nobody forbids imports for private use.

there is a low violence version of the standard game available in Germany, but not the DLCs. They're included in the Definitive Edition. I'm fairly certain it's Germany blocking publishers from selling them in Germany, not the other way around. There isn't a single publisher in the world who would miss out on an entire country if the law wasn't stopping them.
