New ESO Functionality on Steam

We’re happy to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online now offers convenient new functionality with Steam. This means that starting today, our players on PC and Mac can now seamlessly launch and play ESO directly from the Steam client and more.

Here’s a short list of everything new you can now do with ESO from within the Steam client:

• Launch and play the game ( How To[help.elderscrollsonline.com])
  
• Purchase an ESO Plus membership (How To[help.elderscrollsonline.com])
  
• Purchase Crown Packs (How To[help.elderscrollsonline.com])
  
• Link your Steam version of ESO to your Steam account (How To[help.elderscrollsonline.com])

Please note that if you are a current ESO player on Steam, you will need to fully uninstall and reinstall the game in order for the new ESO/Steam client functionality to work. Here’s how[help.elderscrollsonline.com]. We are working on a fix so that in the future, this will not be necessary.

Now that The Elder Scrolls Online offers more functionality with Steam, it opens up more opportunities for us to create cool stuff for our community here on Steam. We are interested in creating Steam achievements and more – keep an eye out for details!

I downloaded it a few days ago, hadn't gotten around to actually playing it until now, and this is what I get.

So I re-downloaded, confirmed content BuildID and patched everything up. However, I can't seem to find the option to link my steam account when following the instructions. Anyone having the same issue?

Yep, apparently Steam says I've been playing the game, but ESO won't let me in. REALLY frustrating

I can't even play anymore, I redownloaded the game like aksed but now I get the crash report as soon as I click "play" on the launcher

Downloaded the game last week, created my account tonight as per the first link in the OP, and now find out I have to re-download the whole game as per the last link in the OP. Guess I won't be playing *checks data cap* for a couple more weeks. :/

Same. Installed the game and after the launcher opens the game I can't login at all. There's no option to login. Really?
