33 fps cap? Seriously? What the --
I was looking forward to this, really. I wanted to do some due diligence before buying to see if there were any major issues so I checked the bug thread. Nothing too major for me. Then I find about the 33 fps cap.

What the hell?

You guys don't get it. I'm on a PC. I want 60. Even if the sprite animations run at 33 (you took the time to expand the aspect ratio to 16:9), the special effects and the rest of the game engine can run at 60. Even Youtube supports that now.

It's Ubisoft's limit.Game looks more "cinematografic"

I know, I've heard all the controversy. I hope the arugment dies faster this time then back when 3dfx and NVIDIA were arguing 30 vs 60. Thankfully, 60 won then. It should win now.

I want to smack someone upside the head who tells me 30 is better than 60 for any reason.

I get you but there are these tards who believe that 33fps doesn't matter on a tbs...

SO keep complaining. The game runs fine to me and is very responsive. Stop staring at a number showing FPS to determine if your satisfied or not and just play the game.

Oh and if you think updating the mouse position 33 times in 1 second is going to cause lag..thats extremelly funny.

It's not about the number you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron, it's about the game being more or equally responsive as anything I use on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC.
Just because you're fine with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console fps doesn't mean everyone else is.

yea the mouse updates its position 33 times in a second..Big lag causer. Think not...maybe at 10 fps. Not at 33

I wonder why all FPS player performance drop severely if game runs on less than 60/100 fps depending on title.

Yeah, dbgager, I've seen several of your posts already and am going to ignore everything you say. It's not about "does the game work" but the general direction games seem to be going. I don't want a developer to put a game on PC that barely works. There's no reason this game should be locked to 33 fps. Ubisoft is having a string of bad ports and it's totally on them. Grim Fandango recently got re-released and I hear the work done to it was fantastic. That I will be buying.

I played the original HoMM3. It was a lot of fun. I'm not buying an HD remaster for little more than slightly polished graphics, especially if it runs worse than the original on a PC 10x as powerful.

I think that devs (more precisely Ubisoft) worked hard on making this game low-performance. Achieve such results is quite difficult.

It's a 2-dimensional game, which could easily run at over 300 fps on modest hardware.

Anything beyond 30fps in this game would only affect mouse cursor responsiveness. You could have 1000 fps and the animations would still look as old-school as they do now. That feel is half the appeal of the game.

If you don't believe me, play the original complete w/o any mods and then play the original complete w/ the HD mod. Original Complete has the same slow cursor and animation quality as this. It only runs at 60fps to match the refresh rates of the monitors it was made to run on ti prevent screen tearing (back then every monitor was 60hz and we didn't need vsync in SVGA games). HD mod puts the game at true 60fps, and all it affects is the cursor. Animations are still 30fps because they were designed to operate in 30fps.

And that's the issue, it runs like ass with 30fps.

You have 32 hours and the game came out two days ago. Obviously it's a non-issue.

it's a issue wether I played it for 1 hour or 200 hours. also you get hours for being in the map editor too.
