B18 Broken in Linux

The game doesn't work under Linux. A17 worked fine.

Everything is blacked out. Can't see the world, the different story tellers.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have removed all mods, and reinstalled the game. A17 works perfectly.

I'm using Lbuntu 17.10 and the install is only a week old.

I see exactly the same thing. On Windows everything is good, on Linux I see the same as in your screenshots. I was afraid I broke something... I uninstalled / deleted everything related to RimWorld on Linux to no avail. I'm on Ubuntu 17.10.

Check the Video Drivers. Make sure you are using the mainfacture drivers and not an open driver.

I have the same issue. on linux, had to fall back to 0.17b to keep playing.

Downgrading to 0.17b did work for me, thanks! :)

I didn't update my solution here, please try this from the CLI to run the newer versions:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/.steam/bin32/ ~/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/RimWorld/RimWorldLinux.x86

Works on lubunto at least.
