Game won't start?

Anyone else have this issue? The launcher starts, and I click Start Game, and launcher closes and then nothing. Tried reboot, and validating the files.

Windows 8.1 64bit.
GeForce 760
16GB RAM
Latest drivers.

Won't start for me either. Restarted Steam and it updated itself. Tried loading game again and it's just sitting there doing nothing. Eventually Steam crashed and I restarted it. It updated itself AGAIN. Still not loading game.

Try running windowed mode.

Nothing works. Window mode or not. Administrator rights or not. Compatability mode... nothing works.

I disabled EMET by switching DEP and SEHOP to "Application Opt In" for the system, rebooting, and made sure that I added the executable to the "Apps" list and made sure everything was unchecked. This allowed the game to start for me, I hope it helps everyone else.

ugh I remember having this same issue with fable anniversary and having to wait a few days for a patch then it worked fine but devs still trying to blame player system despite nothing changing but patch. Hopefully I don't have to wait an entire week for a patch to fix the issue this time.
