FPS drop and stuttering with 1.04
With 1.03 patch, the game worked great... And now, well, the title says it all.
Shadows, grass density and foliage visibility range are set on HIGH, everything else is on ULTRA.

I think they fixed the AF problem, instead of x2 it's x16 now. They also did something to the draw distance. You could try this to adjust these settings;

I still haven't found a working solution to the stuttering. i5 4690k & GTX 980 running @ 1440. Locked at 60 fps, but stutters every 3-4 seconds. Been playing for 35 hours now and it just keeps ruining the experience.

780ti SLI, gained about 10fps from the patch. No stuttering. Game got a lot smoother for me in areas where frames were dropping earlier.

Well actually.. I'd love to have your performance.

I got :

i54690k
16Gb
GTX970 OC (a lot...)

I'm actually running the game all on ultra, with hairworks at 1440. I'm running around 35 to 40, but I locked to 30 and gotta say, this game is awesome even at 30 fps.

What harddrive have you the game installed on? I use a samsung SSD, I don't get any stutter (again I'm at 35/40 fps)

I noticed a probably 5-6 FPS drop from the patch so I am now sitting at about 31 Fps in combat which seems reasonable considering my resolution.

Running 5760x1080 everything on ultra ,hairworks off

i7 4790k
Gtx 970
16gb

I'm actually getting more fps (about 5 more) and it seems to run smoother since 1.04.

i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz
gtx 760
16Gb RAM

Performance increased for me. Hairworks performance increased as well significantly.

Have any of you guys tried Sweet Fx and if so how does it look, also was there a performance hit?

Yo, running 780Ti SLI as well and 1.04 completely demolished my FPS, outside would get steady 75 and in Novigrad around 60, now Novigrad is lagging as hell. Would love to know what settings you run and what fps you get. Cheers.

Before the increased sharpening patch sweetfx was mandatory. Now you don't even need it because you can just sharpen the game in the option. There is no noticed frame loss with it.
Patch ruined my game on GTX 960 msi Special Edition. Never had a crash until 1.04, now it will either run fine until I get bored or it crashes within 2 minutes of loading a game. Usually the latter.

I fixed the frame drops. Use a fast travel to travel to a different region in the game. This boosts the frame rate back up. It must refresh the world. Tell people because this worked for me.

I hope they will fix this in the next patch...

I've just been upping the over clock on my GPU to try to regain some of the 15-20 FPS i've lost in this patch >.< will test in game after a shower hope to get more then 25-35.. and be closer to 40-55 I had on high setting in 1.03.

So, I think that there must be some option that people refuse to disable that causes this stuttering. I disabled a lot of post processing, made it fullscreen, all the stuttering stopped.
